About the Project.
The Jean Monnet Chair CLOSER - Cross-border families, family-reunification and successions matters (2024-2027), funded by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union, deals with integration process of migrant families from European and non-European areas, resident in the EU, and focuses on migration law, cross-border families property and succession regimes.
Objectives.
Support teaching in the field of European Union studies related to family property and succession regimes in cross-border families.
Support and promote teaching in the field of European Union studies related to immigration law.
Conduct research in the field of European Union studies, bringing legal research on the role of habitual residence of the individual and the couple in the process of cultural and legal integration of foreigners in Europe and on adaptation and contamination between legal systems in the field of family and succession law.
Generate useful knowledge for students and tools for professionals working in the areas covered by the Project.
Generate knowledge, raise awareness and foster dialogue on EU values on migration, rights, duties and cross-border family property and succession regimes with foreigners and civil society.
